Pesaro - Beaches
The beaches
There are 7 kilometres of free or equipped beaches which obtained the Blue Flag classification for water quality and services, equipped with facilities easily accessible from hotels and downtown, with shallow and sandy sea-beds.
The beaches of Pesaro are subdivided into:
-
San Bartolo: sweet bays, rocky ravines and coves follow one another at the base of the sandstone cliff overlooking the sea. The nature trails of the Park get into beaches and crystal clear waters, ideal for those who seek peace and love scuba-diving activities. Here you can find the beach of Fiorenzuola and reach it with just a 15-minute walk along a wooded road closed to traffic, which from the village of Fiorenzuola goes down to the sea; and the beach of Vallugola, well equipped, with typical restaurants on the sea and a small marina.
-
Baia Flaminia: Located at the foot of San Bartolo hill, it is the north extension of the city featuring with equipped beach facilities and tourist facilities.
-
West Beach: the coastline is equipped with beach facilities and multiple tourist facilities. The sand is very fine and the sea-beds are shallow, ideal for children;
-
East beach: As the west beach, it is perfectly organized and equipped with full tourism facilities and hospitality services;
-
Sottomonte Ardizio: to the south, under the Ardizio Hill which overlooks the sea, one can see wide sandy beaches, equipped or free, which offer more intimate and quieter hospitality. They consist of large spaces surrounded by the vegetation of the hill, connected to the city centre by a convenient and scenic cycle path.
